These strawberry treats only require four simple ingredients–strawberries, Greek yogurt, coconut oil, and dark chocolate. The use of Greek yogurt and dark chocolate instead of regular yogurt and chocolate makes this dessert healthier, as they’re higher in protein and contain less sugar. The coconut oil, on the other hand, is used to thin out the consistency of melted chocolate, making it smoother and glossier. It’s super easy to make and ready in just a few minutes. Give this quick and easy dessert recipe a try!
Easy Chocolate Strawberry Bites Ingredients
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- ½ cup of Greek yogurt (lactose-free)
- 3.5 oz 80% dark chocolate (melted)
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
How to Make Chocolate Strawberry Bites
Step 1:
Remove the stems of the strawberries and cut into small pieces. Transfer them into a bowl.
Step 2:
Add ½ cup of Greek yogurt to the strawberry pieces and mix until well combined.
Step 3:
Line a plate with parchment paper. Spoon dollops of the mixture onto the prepared plate.
Step 4:
Place them in the freezer for 1.5 to 2 hours or until set.
Step 5:
Cut the dark chocolate into small pieces, then place in a microwave-safe bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, then place in the microwave. Heat until melted. Mix until smooth and shiny. Let it cool for a few minutes.
Step 6:
Once the strawberry yogurt bites are set, remove them from the refrigerator and dip them into the melted chocolate to coat. Place them back on the lined plate and refrigerate until the chocolate sets. Transfer into air-tight containers, then store in the refrigerator. These bites can last in the fridge for a couple of days, but they will have a soft consistency. If you want a firmer texture, store them in the freezer, then let them defrost for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
