Step 1
Combine the cake mix and butter in a mixing bowl, then beat them together with an electric mixer over low speed until it becomes crumbly or for about 3 to 5 minutes. Scoop 1 cup from the mixture and set it aside for the topping later. Pour the remaining crumb mixture onto a baking dish lined with parchment paper, make sure that the ends overlap, and hang on the sides so that it’s easier to remove later. Press down the crumb tightly onto the bottom of the dish. Bake it in a preheated oven at 325°F or 165°C until the edges begin to become crispy or for about 10 minutes. Remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly on a wire cooling rack.

Step 2
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and frosting together using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth or for about 3 to 5 minutes. Incorporate 1 egg at a time into the mixture and beat until blended or for about 2 t o3 minutes. Add in about 6 drops of green food coloring or more if you prefer a darker color. Beat them together until the color is blended or for about 2 minutes. Add in the mint candy flavoring and beat until thoroughly incorporated for another 2 minutes. Then, taste and add more flavoring if needed.
Step 3
Pour the batter over the baked chocolate crust, smooth the top out, then sprinkle the 1 cup reserved crumb mixture. Top it with a cup of chocolate and mint morsels, reserve some portion for garnishing later. Bake it in the preheated oven until set for about 42 to 45 minutes. Remove and let it cool completely, then cover it with a plastic cling wrap, and chill for at least 2 hours. Melt the reserved chocolate and mint morsels, then transfer them into a resealable plastic bag. Cut a small piece from the corner of the bag, then gently squeeze and drizzle it over the cooled cake. Cut the cake into bars and serve.
