Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 & 1/2 all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Step 1
In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Beat with a handheld mixer until creamy. Next, add 1 egg and 2 tsp vanilla extract. Continue beating until combined. In a separate bowl, add 1 & 1/2 all-purpose flour, 3/4 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well, then add 1/2 of the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined.

Step 2
Add the remaining 1/2 of the flour mixture and continue mixing. Add 1 cup of chocolate chips to the bowl and fold gently. Shape the cookie batter into balls and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and bake at 350 degrees F for ten to twelve minutes.
