Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cups blackberries, stemmed and pitted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp rum (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp fine sea salt
  • confectioner’s sugar, for dusting

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9″ deep pie pan generously with butter. Set it aside. Next, add 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, three large eggs, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp rum (optional), 2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/8 tsp fine sea salt in your blender, then place on the lid. Blend it on high speed for a minute.

Step 2

Transfer the stemmed and pitted cherries into the bottom of the prepared pie pan, then pour in the blended mixture. Once done, place the pie pan into the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 50 to 55 minutes. After baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Dust it with some confectioner’s sugar on top and serve it with some whipped cream. Enjoy!
