It’s not as complicated as it looks, trust me. This is actually an easy pattern that anyone can make, but it might take a lot of time and effort to complete as it uses a ton of half-square triangles. You can use different sewing techniques to make your work faster, like chain piecing, magic 8, or making 32 half-square triangles at once. If you are already familiar with those methods, you’ll finish this project in no time.

Make two pairs. For the first one, get two colored 5″ squares and for the second pair, get one background 5″ square and one 5″ colored square.
You need to make 28 half-square triangles from the first pairing, and 28 half-square triangles from the second pairing.
Get the second pair. Draw a diagonal line on the back side of one of your fabrics and draw a diagonal line. Place them right sides together, then sew 1/4″ away from both sides of the line. Cut directly on the, set the seams and press them open towards the dark side. Trim into 4 1/2″ squares. Repeat the process to make all the half-square triangles that you need.
This pattern has 3 sections – A, B, and C.
Look at the photo below for section A. You only need 1 for this section.
You need two pieces of section B. Sew two half-square triangles with the background meeting in the middle. Repeat to make a total of two rows, then sew them together in the same direction to make a block. After that, sew the block to an 8 1/2″ background square with the background fabrics together. Repeat the process for the other one.
Look at the photo below for section C. Make two for this section.
Assemble the quilt.
