This quilt is great for beginners that only use charm packs. Simple, gorgeous, and easy – this quilt is perfect for gift-giving or if you need a quilt right away.
Take one fabric A and one fabric B. Put the right sides together and pin to secure. Take them to the sewing machine and sew a 1/4″ seam allowance on the right and left. Take your ruler and cut at the 2 & 1/2″ line at the center. Cut at the other side as well. You’ll get four pieces of two patches from each of these units. Do this with 36 different pairs and you’ll get a total of 144 pieces of two patches. After this, press them all open.

Now, put the two patches together to make four patches. Make sure the colored part touches the other, put a pin to secure it, and sew with a 1/4″ seam, then press open. Do this to all of your pairs. To build the block, bring in another pair and make an “x” with colors. (You can move around and do any colorway you would like.) Pin at each intersection, stitch a 1/4″ seam allowance, press open again, then pin at all the intersections, then sew. Make 18 of these blocks.
