When I found this awesome crawfish video tutorial by Deermeatfordinner, on YouTube, it brought back so many memories. This excellent video takes you through how crawfish are actually caught, cleaned, cooked, and eaten. I grew up on a bayou in Southeast Texas, and we ran trout lines, gigged frogs, and caught crabs, but I never knew that you set traps for crawfish. All you have to do is rope your traps and add a few dead fish for bail inside them. When you go back later, you can just pull up the traps, and dump the crawfish into tubs and take them back to camp for cleaning and cooking. The recipe for your big crawfish boil could not be easier, and everything in that mixture is delicious. In the old days, we would lay out the entire contents of the crawfish boil on a newspaper-lined picnic table, and everyone just sat around and dug into this succulent mudbug feast.
In this awesome crawfish video tutorial by Deermeatfordinner, on YouTube, you will learn all you need to know about catching, cooking, and eating crawfish. To catch the crawfish you will need some traps, these traps can also be used for catching crabs. You will tie the traps to a tree branch and place a couple of dead fish inside to attract the crawdads.
Then, you will wash and cook your crawdads in a big boiling pot with all of your other goodies! The measurements and seasonings of the ingredients depend on the amount of crawfish you are cooking.
