To make caramel apple bombs, you’ll need butter, apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, refrigerated biscuit dough, soft caramel cubes, sugar, powdered sugar, and heavy cream. It will only take you a couple of minutes to prepare these treats. Serve them with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
For the garnish
Place a pan over heat, then add some butter. Once melted, add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Adjust the amount of seasonings depending on your preference. Mix until well combined. Cook until the sauce thickens and coat the apples. Turn off the heat.
Open the refrigerated canned biscuit dough, then lightly flatten each one. Add a piece of soft caramel to the center of each dough, then top with the apple mixture. Wrap each with the sides of the dough, forming a ball. Place seam side down on your circle baking pan. Make sure not to overcrowd them, as they will expand while baking.
Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
Place inside the oven and bake at 350F for about 30 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with a little bit of heavy cream to make a thick syrup.
Once the caramel apple bombs are done baking, remove from the oven and drizzle the powdered sugar and heavy cream mixture on top. Serve and enjoy!
