It still amazes me how you can easily make these biscuits from scratch. The steps are very straightforward, making it a fool-proof recipe. I can’t count how many times I already baked this at home. Everybody loves it and keeps asking me to make it again and again. Most of the ingredients you need for this recipe are probably already in your kitchen, so be sure to give this a try.

In a large bowl, add the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and unsalted butter. Using your hands, smash the butter and break it into pieces.
Fold in the blueberries.
Pour the buttermilk and gently mix until just combined. Make sure there are no pockets of flour.
Grease an 8″ x 8″ baking pan with 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
Transfer the batter and spread evenly. Spray a bench scraper with non-stick cooking spray. Score the biscuits.
Bake at 400F preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Insert a knife in the center, if it comes out clean, your biscuits are ready. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes in the pan.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, add 2 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt. Microwave for 30 seconds until melted.
After 5 minutes, remove the biscuits from the pan. Brush the butter and honey mixture on top. Let it cool for 10 minutes more on the cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!
