I am such a big butterfly fan! What could be sweeter than this adorable glass jar with butterflies suspended above it?

This is such a unique DIY mason jar project and one that I had to make right away! I was absolutely mesmerized by it. I think it’s probably one of my very favorite mason jar project to date.

I’d seen a butterfly in a mason jar that, if you tapped or moved the jar, the butterfly would fly around the jar. I really wanted to make it, but couldn’t find the instructions…it was something I would have had to order because there was a battery kit in the top of the jar. Then I ran across this tutorial and thought it was even cuter. The butterflies didn’t fly around in the jar, but I loved the appearance of them flying out of the jar!

After I made one of these my friends were so amazed by it that I made a few for gifts. They loved them!

I got my grandkids involved in making these and we had a big time. They loved this project and I got them off of their phones and iPads for a couple of hours too!

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
