Ingredients:

  • chicken pieces or parts
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chicken bouillon powder

For the gravy:

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • chopped onion and bell pepper (desired amount)
  • 4 & 1/2 cups of chicken stock (or beef stock)
  • season to taste

Directions:

Step 1

Take your chicken parts and dry them with a paper towel. Next, rub some butter on your chicken parts evenly, then season both sides with a mixture of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon powder. Place it in the oven uncovered for one hour, then set them aside. Next, it’s time to make the gravy. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in your cast iron skillet. After it melts, add the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook for about two to three minutes. Now, add 4 tbsp flour and mix it thoroughly. Next, add 4 & 1/2 cups of chicken stock and season it. Stir it around and bring it to a boil for about two to three minutes.
