You also need just a few ingredients you might already have in your kitchen. I love making these cookies with my kids every weekend, and they will have them every after school for that week. Check out the full list of ingredients by watching the video below.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Turn off the heat once fully melted and browned. Let it cool down. In the meantime, combine 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar, and the browned melted butter. Whisk well. Next, crack two eggs, then add 1 tbsp vanilla extract, and 1 tsp kosher salt. Continue whisking until fully combined. Now, add the sifted 2 cups + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp baking soda, 3 tsp cornstarch, 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 1 cup chopped pecans. Mix well, making sure everything is just combined.

Cover the mixture with a cling wrap and chill it for one hour. In the meantime, line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Once one hour is up, scoop out the dough into the prepared baking sheet, then press each piece down. (You can add more chocolate chips on the top if you like). Place the cookies in the oven at 350 degrees F for ten minutes. After baking, let them cool down for 20 minutes, then serve.
