To start, grab your stash of scrap fabrics and choose 18 pieces that you like. After choosing, cut them into 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. Once you have all the pieces cut, lay them out according to the pattern (see image below). Now, start building the block, sewing the fabric pieces one by one. (Don’t forget to press as you go.)
Continue this step until you finish building the quilt block. As you go on sewing, you’ll eventually form rows. Sew those rows together to complete the block. (You can pin the pieces to easily sew them together.)
