Are you looking for your next quilt project? Try this bonnie quilt block from Cut and Create on Youtube. This quilt is the perfect project if you have a stash of scraps. It’s beginner-friendly and comes along pretty quickly, so make sure to cut all the fabric requirements before you start on this project. I like how straightforward this quilt is, and make it scrappy or not. You can even make this with assorted patterned fabrics, or a combination of solid colors, and it will still look pretty.

I actually made two versions of these, one scrappy and one with bold fabric colors, and I’m telling you, they both looked stunning. This will also make a good personalized gift for your loved ones. So, if you’re out of quilt projects to make, try doing this quilt project today. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions. Materials:

fabric A:

  • 1 – 5″ x 5″ square
  • 2 – 3″ x 3″ squares

fabric B:

  • 2 – 3″ x 5″ rectangles

fabric C:

  • 2 – 3″ x 7 1/2″ rectangles

Directions:

Step 1

To start, cut your fat quarters according to the fabric requirements. Once you all have the fabric pieces, lay one 3″ x 7 1/2″ rectangle on top, and the other to the side (fabric A). Next, lay the two 3″ x 5″ rectangles to the inner sides of fabric A, then fill out the gaps with the two 3″ x 3″ squares. Finally, place the 5″ x 5″ square at the left bottom to complete the block.
