This project is one of my favorites, as it allows me to make quick quilts in no time for gift-giving or if I just want to use a gorgeous fabric. To start, cut your fabric requirements accordingly and set them aside. Next, line them up, one light and one dark, right sides together, and draw a line from corner to corner. Pin on either side. Repeat these to the remaining five. Once done, sew on either side of the drawn line with a 1/4″ seam allowance, then cut them right in the middle. Press them open afterward.

After this, square up the blocks to 9 1/2″. Now, assemble the block, then place the extra four 9 1/2″ squares on each corner. Sew them by rows, then sew those rows together to complete the quilt top. Once done, sew the strips into fours, then attach them to the sides to border the quilt along with the cornerstones.
