If you love zucchini, I strongly recommend this sauteed zucchini recipe from Wholesome Yum on YouTube! I’ve tested quite a lot of zucchini recipes, and I can guarantee that this recipe is the best I’ve tried. It was a simple procedure, but this dish was ten times better than any commercial zucchini dish out there. It’s so tasty; I could eat this all day.
My family also loves this recipe, and it’s their favorite veggie side dish. Even the picky eaters love this dish and even request it from time to time. Try this recipe today and impress your family. Watch the video below to learn the step by step instructions.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb zucchini, sliced, about 1/2″
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp sea salt, or to taste
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper, or to taste
Directions:
Step 1
To start, prep and chop all your ingredients accordingly and set them aside. Next, in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, add some olive oil and let it heat for a couple of minutes. After this, add the sliced zucchini in a single layer. (You can turn down the heat if you feel like it’s too high.)

Step 2
Cook the zucchini for four to five minutes, flipping occasionally but not constantly, to brown each evenly. Once they’re browned, make a well in the middle and add 1 tbsp of unsalted butter. Once the butter melts, saute the minced garlic (make sure to turn the heat to medium-low at this point) until nice and fragrant. After this, stir all together with the zucchini. Season with some salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir once more, then transfer to a serving plate immediately.
