Instructions:

Step 1:

In a deep saucepan, combine all ingredients. You just want to warm the spices and dissolve the sugar – you don’t want them to boil. Once done, set it aside.

Step 2:

Place your ham on your cutting board. Score the exterior of the ham around half an inch deep down then across diagonally. Open the slits to allow the juices to sip inside the ham as it bakes.

Step 3:

Place the pineapple on the exterior of the ham and secure them with toothpicks. Then add each of the cherries to the middle of the pineapple slices and secure them with toothpicks too. Once done, transfer it to a roasting pan.

Step 4:

Pour the glaze sauce all over the ham. Cover the pan with a lid to help maintain the moisture. If you don’t have a lid for your pan, you can just use aluminum foil.

Step 5:

For bone-in fully cooked ham, bake it at 325F for about 15 to 20 minutes per pound. Bake it at 325F for 10 minutes per pound for a fully cooked spiral ham. Baste the ham every 20 to 30 minutes.

Step 6:

Transfer the ham to a cutting board and allow it to rest for 20 to 30 minutes.

Step 7:

Put the juice rendered in a saucepan and reduce it by a third. Skim off the fat rendered from the ham.

Step 8:

Remove the cherries and pineapple slices. Slice the ham and place it on a platter with the pineapples and cherries. Pour the hot sauce on top and serve.
