Paula Deen is my all-time favorite TV cook. Whatever wonderful recipe Paula shows us, you can bet your bottom dollar, it is going be delicious and easy to make. I love banana pudding and I had always used my Grandma’s recipe because she made the most delicious Banana Pudding, but I recently saw this video tutorial recipe by Paula Dean on Youtube for banana pudding and I decided to try it because it used whipped cream instead of the traditional custard that my Grandma used, and it sounded really rich and delicious. Since banana pudding is one of my very favorite desserts from my childhood, I really needed to try it every way under the sun, right? I had forgotten how much I loved the delicate flavor of cooked bananas and memories of my Grandma came flooding back. Grandma would have loved this recipe because she loved trying new things, she wasn’t really set in her ways. I started by getting my ingredients together which were really basic, but there is lots of delicious heavy whipping cream in this recipe.
In this awesome video recipe tutorial by Paula Deen, you will be taken step by step through this banana pudding recipe. You will start by making the creamy custard sauce with whipped cream.
Then, you will just layer the custard, the bananas, and the chessmen cookies in your casserole dish.
This recipe is so delicious, with Paula Deen you cannot go wrong.
