Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sliced corned beef (or pastrami)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup sauerkraut (drained well and squeezed very dry)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle radish
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • cayenne, to taste
  • 8 oz grated swiss cheese (4 oz gruyere and 4 oz Emmenthaler)
  • crackers and bread

Directions:

Step 1

Slice your pastrami or corned beef into small pieces and put them in a large mixing bowl. Add 1 package of softened cream cheese, drained sauerkraut, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, 2 tbsp sour cream, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp dijon mustard, 1/4 cup sweet pickle radish, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp ground black pepper, cayenne to taste, and 8 oz shredded cheese. Mix everything until thoroughly combined using a wooden spoon (or anything that is available to you.)

Step 2

Once mixed thoroughly, transfer the mixture to an oven-proof baking dish. Spread, press it down, and even out the top using the back of your wooden spoon. Next, using a fork, roughen up the top to create more surface area. Put the baking dish in a 4oo degree F oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until browned. After baking, let it cool down before serving.
