This apple strudel recipe by Crazy by Crust uses two main ingredients that can be easily made in minutes for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Canned crescent rolls are popular when it comes to making a quick pastry that looks homemade or made from scratch. I always try to look for recipes with premade items, because it saves so much time in the kitchen.  It takes under 30 minutes to make these, and they taste just as good with little to no effort in making the dough.  Apple strudels are so fun to make and a great Fall seasonal recipe to bake. The end results of the apple strudels look professional even though it was made with a can of crescent rolls.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 8 rolls or use the Crescent Roll Sheet if you can find it
  • 1 1/2 cups Apple Pie Filling or from a can, use about 3/4 of a can
  • 1 egg
  • Granulated sugar for sprinkling
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  tablespoon apple juice

Directions:

First, preheat the oven to 375F. Unroll the crescent rolls onto a large sheet of parchment paper that will fit onto a cookie sheet. Press the seams together. Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut strips 1″ apart up and down both sides of the crescent roll sheet. Leave about 3″ in the center so you can add the apple pie filling. Then, wrap each slice up over the filling.
