Ingredients:

  • 1 pc. apple
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • sliced bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

Directions:

Step 1

To start, peel and slice the apple into small pieces. Set them aside. Next, in a pan, add 1 tbsp butter. Once it’s fully melted, add the sliced apples and cook them until softened. After this, add 2 tbsp water, 1 tsp vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon powder. Mix well and continue to cook over low heat. Next, add 2 tbsp brown sugar and cook until it is caramelized. Once caramelized, turn off the heat, let it cool, and set aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile, trim the edges of your sliced bread, then flatten each with a rolling pin. Set them aside. Next, in a bowl, beat one egg, then add 1 tbsp milk. Now, start assembling the cinnamon toast. Add one to two tsp of apple cinnamon mixture in the center of the prepared crust, then brush the sides with egg mixture. Roll it and seal it afterward. Repeat this process until you have your desired number of apple cinnamon toast. After this, heat a small amount of olive oil in a pan, soak each toast in the egg wash, then add them to the pan. Cook them until browned. After frying, coat each roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve and enjoy!
