Christmas Almond Snowball Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of slivered almonds (toasted and finely ground)
  • 1 cup of butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar (divided)
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

How to Make Almond Snowball Cookies

Step 1:

In the bowl of your stand mixer, add 1 cup of softened butter and whisk until creamy. Alternatively, you can use a bowl and a handheld mixer.

Step 2:

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Whisk until well combined.

Step 3:

In a mixing bowl, add 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of slivered almonds. Mix to combine.

Step 4:

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Whisk until crumbly.

Step 5:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Get a small amount of the dough, then form it into a ball. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough. Make sure to space them apart.
