This french toast recipe by Lamilicious Delights on YouTube shows how to make a peanut butter banana-filled french toast in an air fryer. It’s a different style of french toast and if you like peanut butter sandwiches, I think it’s worth a try. The presentation on this french toast recipe looks amazing, and the melted peanut butter is one of my favorite parts about this. It’s a great way to avoid washing a pan when it’s made in the air fryer. I love peanut butter toast with bananas on it, but if I want something sweeter, this would be a great option and alternative.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • banana
  • peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • cinnamon powder
  • maple syrup

Directions:

First, cut off the crust on the slices of bread or you can keep them on. Spread peanut butter or almond butter on one piece of bread. Thinly slice the banana and line them up on top of the peanut butter bread. Place the other slice of the bread on top like a sandwich. Next, once the peanut butter sandwich is dipped into the cinnamon egg mixture, place it in the air fryer at 360 degrees F for 6 minutes or until perfectly cooked. This will make it toasty with a nice crisp on the outside.

Overall, it’s a healthy french toast recipe that is like a peanut butter sandwich but fried and drizzled in syrup. I like the concept of this recipe, and I think it would be a hearty and filling breakfast meal. I’m curious how this would taste and turn out, and I like the lines that are created on the outside of the toast.
