Fried green beans are a healthier option from french fries, and they take less than 10 minutes to make. This recipe by This Is MOMS Kitchen on YouTube shows how simple it is to make these using only 4 ingredients with your favorite seasonings of your choice. I think it’s important to season these fried green beans well so they taste like french fries. If you want these to be even healthier, I would throw them in an air fryer and spray cooking oil over them. This would help prevent all the oils from soaking into the vegetables. However, they are perfect the way they are and I can’t wait to make these myself. I know they sell fried green beans at the store that’s pre-packaged like chips, but I could make so much for a less price. Plus it would be freshly made.

Ingredients:

  • Green beans
  • Salt, pepper, and spices of your choice
  • All-purpose flour
  • Bread crumbs
  • Eggs

Directions:

First, fill up a pot with oil to heat on the stove. Then, prepare your ingredients such as the egg wash, flour, breadcrumbs, and green beans. Coat the green beans into the flour mixture, then mix them around in the egg wash, and coat them in the bread crumbs. You can double coat the green beans and repeat the process if you want them thicker.

Serve the fried green beans with your favorite dipping sauce. I would serve this with a side of ranch because that’s what I like to dip my vegetables in. However, if you want a healthier dipping sauce option, I would make some kind of greek yogurt dip.
