Paula Deen’s classic southern macaroni salad is so simple and easy to make because all you need to do is combine everything together. I’m used to having cold macaroni salad, but warm macaroni sounds amazing. Plus with the addition of cheddar cheese that is added spontaneously in the end, it would make it cheesy and creamy. I love how she has special guests on her channel and it’s so sweet to see that her grandson Henry is willing to help in the kitchen. Macaroni salad is so good and it reminds me of my mother every time. She loves potato salad and macaroni salad. I haven’t had it in a while, so it would be nice to make this for a side dish to bring over to my parent’s house.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 3 hard-boiled chopped eggs
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • ¼ cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon Paula Deen Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Paula Deen Silly Salt
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Directions:

First, prep all of your ingredients and set them aside to combine everything together. Also, it’s best to prep everything beforehand because it makes the process faster and easier.

Next, in a large bowl, fold and mix all over the ingredients. This recipe is flexible and you can add more mayo if needed because the starch may soak all of it up.

I love how she included her grandson Henry in this tutorial, and he was such a big helper. Also, I love how he was confident to recommend adding in shredded cheese in the end. Cheese in macaroni salad is not common, but I believe it would add more flavor too. This classic southern macaroni looked wonderful, and I think it’s best to eat in the summer.
