You Won’t Believe this Awesome DIY Leather Bracelet Was Made from Old Shoes

This DIY leather bracelet tutorial could not have crossed my path at a more opportune time. I know that I’m not alone in keeping stockpiles of old boots way past their expiration dates, but I may have a problem. When I cleaned out my closet and all the kids closets recently there were at least 10 pairs of boots between us that were way past their prime. But it’s hard to just throw them out for lots of reasons. Some of them were expensive, but most of them have just been essentials in my closet for so long and I am hopelessly sentimental. That’s why I was over the moon when I saw this tutorial for this awesome leather bracelet!

What I really love about this awesome DIY idea is that I can make these from all the different sizes of boots we have laying around the house. Which means I can also make them for boys, girls, anyone who likes this rustic looking jewelry. That’s a lot of love to spread around from old boots!

This video tutorial shows you how to make these bracelets from the straps on the boots, but you could also cut strips from the shoes themselves. If you choose to cut your own strips, you can adjust the width of the bracelets to any size. These will make some awesome DIY gifts to make for your favorite jewelry lovers!
