Mount these DIY rustic mason jar wall sconces on either side of your outside doors or in dimly lit corners of your home to brighten everything up with a little bit of country charm. I love the blue tinted mason jar sconce almost as much as I love the vintage stamps added to the clear mason jar. The bit of driftwood added behind the mason jar lights are a stroke of crafty genius as it makes the whole project read rustic in a charming unpolished sort of way.
Of course, you can add your own assortment of touches to these lights to make them fit your taste. Burlap is one of my favorite go-to craft supplies of course, and these mason jars would look lovely with thick cuts of it wrapped around them. Lacy doilies and a touch of ribbon or twine would also make beautiful adornments to these DIY lighting projects.
If you are having difficulty locating driftwood to anchor your mason jars to, you can always use other repurposed materials like old fence posts or pieces of barnwood. Pallet wood is free and comes in quantities large enough to make more than a couple of these DIY sconces. You can leave the wood unfinished for a more distressed, rustic look or chalk paint it in any color of your choice to give it some personalized charm.
