Moist chocolate is my weakness and one of my favorite desserts of all time. Back when I still didn’t know how to bake and didn’t have an oven, I would always to try to get a moist chocolate cake from my favorite cake or cake shop. But, for those days when I can’t go outside or I just really feel like making my own version of the cake, I would always go for an alternative recipe, just like this one by Yeast Mode on YouTube.

Cake
Ganache
Step 1
In a large bowl, add the egg, sugar, fresh milk, cooking oil, and white vinegar, then whisk everything until the sugar has dissolved. Sift over the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, then whisk them until smooth and combined, and set the batter aside.
Step 2
Grease a cake pan with nonstick cooking spray or butter, then line it with parchment paper on the sides and bottom, and pour in the cake batter. Grease a piece of foil, then wrap the cake pan with it, and pierce holes all over the top to let the steam escape.
Step 3
Preheat your air fryer to 160°C for about 5 minutes, then place the cake inside, and cook it for around 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean. Place a saucepan on a stove over low heat, then add the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, cornstarch, and fresh milk, then whisk everything until the sugar has dissolved, and cook them until thick and smooth.
Step 4
Turn off the heat, then add the butter, and keep whisking until thoroughly combined. Once the cake is done baking, let it cool completely, then remove the foil, and invert the cake to a serving plate. Cut the cake into 2 layers, then spread some ganache on top of the first layer, stack the other cake layer, and cover it entirely with the remaining ganache. Serve and enjoy!
