Easy Crunchy Candied Walnut Ingredients

  • 2 cups of walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

 

How to Make Crunchy Candies Walnuts

Step 1:

Add 2 cups of walnuts, 1/2 cup of water, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in a pot. Stir to combine.

Step 2:

Cover the pot with the lid and let it come to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer until the water evaporates, stirring often.

Step 3:

Take the pot off of heat, then remove the cinnamon stick and star anise. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Mix until well combined.

Step 4:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the walnuts, then spread evenly in a single layer, separating the pieces.

Step 5:

Bake in a 320F preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Once done baking, let the nuts cool completely before removing from the baking tray.

Step 6:
