Easy DIY Wagon Wheel Chandelier

What’s great about repurposed crafts is that you can give new life to objects that are otherwise considered trash or useless. In the process of giving them new life and turning them into a decor or functional object, you make your house more aesthetic and you wouldn’t even have to spend a lot of money for it.

This particular DIY project idea by Hallmark Channel on YouTube is very interesting and something I’m sure you’d be eager to try. Using only wagon wheels and mason jars, you can make a very beautiful chandelier that other people would think is high-end or store-bought until you tell them it’s handmade.
Materials for Wagon Wheel Chandelier:
- Wagon wheels, 18″, 24″, and 36″
- Mason jars
- Jute rope
- Tealights, battery-operated and remote-controlled
- Staple gun and staples
- Screw eye hooks
- Fixture chain
- Pliers
- Wire cutters
- Drill, with a bit to the size of the rope
- Sandpaper
- Ruler or tape measure
How to Make a Wagon Wheel Chandelier:
Step 1
Determine how many jars you’ll need to hang in each wheel, then drill holes in the center of each jar lid, and sand them smooth to remove any sharp edges.
Step 2
Wrap a jute rope around the edge of the wheel making sure it’s centered between each spoke, then staple it in place, and cut the rope into about 7 inches long from the edge of the wheel per stand.
Step 3
Tie the lids on each rope strand, then attach the tiers, cut the chain to equal lengths, and attach each chain to the eyehook of the tiers.
Step 4
Use the chain to hang the chandelier in place from the four eyehooks on the top tier, then put all of the tealights in each jar, and screw them on in place. Turn the tealights on and enjoy!
