Instead of making the usual cornbread, try this honey butter version that will impress the entire family. This is very easy to make because all you have to do is mix the ingredients, then pour it into your favorite cast-iron skillet, and wait for it to finish baking in your oven.

What makes this cornbread stand out from the rest is its delicious glaze with the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and buttery flavor. This is a food that I’m sure even the kids will love so much that they’d keep coming back for seconds.

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar, then whisk them until uniform and incorporated, and set the mixture aside.

In a separate large mixing bowl, add the whisked eggs, honey, melted salted butter, vegetable oil, and milk, then whisk them until fully combined but do not overmix.
Step 3
Pour the wet mixture into the flour mixture, then mix until thoroughly combined but do not overmix, and transfer the batter to a cast-iron skillet greased with butter.
Step 4
Place it in a preheated oven at 350°F, then let it ake for about 25 to 30 minutes, and once almost done prepare the glaze.
Step 5
In a small bowl, add the melted butter and honey, then mix until uniform and incorporated, and brush it over the freshly baked cornbread. Serve and enjoy!
