Potato is an amazing vegetable and is also one of my favorites because there are a lot of different ways that you can cook it from snack to dessert! Most of the time you wouldn’t even remember that it’s a vegetable because of how good it tastes. One of the most classic ways of cooking potato is by frying it and serving it with a yummy dipping sauce on the side.

But, to take this veggie to the next level, this recipe by Faryal’s Cuisine on YouTube will show you a special way of making fried potatoes. These potato sticks are mashed and then instead of deep frying them in lots of oil, you will be using an air fryer which also makes cooking them easier. Now, all you have to do is sit and wait for them to be done, then you can enjoy eating them.
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and rinse them, then cut them into cubes, and transfer them to a pot. Fill the pot with water until the potatoes are covered, then bring it to a boil until completely soft, and drain off all the water.
Step 2
Transfer the boiled potatoes to a large bowl, then season it with salt, red chili flake, and garlic powder, and add the cornstarch, chopped coriander leaves, and oil.
Step 3
Mash them together and combine, then dust your work surface with flour, and transfer the potato mash. Spread and flatten it, then trim off the edges straight, and cut them into 1cm wide or less than ½ inch strips.
Step 4
Carefully transfer them to the air fryer basket, then let them cook at 180°C or 356°F for about 10 minutes, grease them with some oil, and let them continue cooking for an additional 8 minutes. Serve it with your favorite dipping sauce on the side and enjoy!
