Is there a way to revive stale bread? I bought some bread a couple of days ago and forgot about it, and now it’s rock solid. I thought of turning it into bread pudding since no one likes stale bread, but I got curious if there was a way to freshen the bread since I planned to make sandwiches. So, I searched on YouTube and found a video from the Rachael Ray Show featuring Sara featuring Moulton’s secret to reviving stale bread.

I tried it earlier today, and it surprisingly worked. First, the bread becomes soft, and then if you put it back in the oven, it gets crunchy again and delicious. Good thing I did not throw it away. If you have rock-hard day-old bread, try this simple hack! It might look like it won’t work, but trust me, it does. You only need parchment paper, cold water, an oven, and a few minutes to revive old bread.

Take your stale bread and douse it with cold water.
Take a sheet of aluminum foil and place your bread. Wrap it as tightly as you can.
Put it in the cold oven and turn it to 300F. Let it heat for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Once the time is done, remove it from the oven and unwrap it. Your stale bread should be soft by now.
Place it back in the oven and heat for about 5 minutes uncovered to make it crunchy again.
