Ingredients for Witch’s Brew Stew:

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 pound of hot breakfast sausage
  • 3-4 large carrots, sliced and cut into pumpkin shapes
  • 2 cups of gold potatoes, diced small
  • 3 stalks of celery, diced
  • 1 cup of leeks, diced
  • 1 tsp of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp of Italian herb seasoning
  • ¾ tsp of salt
  • ¼ tsp of pepper
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of Condensed French Onion Soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1½ cups of water
  • 1 (32 oz) box of beef broth
  • 10 mushrooms, cut in half and shaped into a skull

How to Make Witch’s Brew Stew:

Step 1

Place a large skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and sausage, then break them apart and cook them until nice and brown, and remove all of the excess grease. Transfer the meat to the crockpot, then peel and slice the carrots, and cut them into pumpkin shapes.

Step 2

Add them to the crockpot, then add in the potatoes, celery, leeks, and garlic, and season them with Italian herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour in the condensed French onion soup, condensed tomato soup, water, and beef broth, then cover the crockpot with the lid, and cook the stew on a high setting for about 4 hours or a low setting for about 8 hours.

Step 3

Once the cooking time is almost done, cut the mushrooms in half lengthwise, then use a straw to make 2 holes for the eyes, and cut two slits for the nose as shown in the video. Add the mushrooms to the crockpot, then let the stew finish cooking for the remaining 10 minutes, and ladle into serving bowls. Serve and enjoy!
