This creamy garlic butter beans recipe is not only delicious but also good for you. It is packed with butter beans (also known as lima beans), onion, garlic, cheese, and seasonings. You can serve it with toast, grilled fish, chicken, rice, green salad, or pasta.

Place a large pan over medium heat and drizzle olive oil.
Drain the cans of butter beans in a colander and rinse with water.
Once the pan is hot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the onion is translucent. Next, add in the flour and mix continuously for 2 minutes.
Quickly mix in the paprika and oregano, then pour the milk and broth. Continue mixing until you get a slightly creamy sauce for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the drained butter beans and lemon juice, and season with sea salt and black pepper. Mix well then turn the heat to low-medium. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
