It is a powdered drink mix that is available in a variety of flavors. Just mix it with cold water, and you have the perfect summer drink. For this recipe, you will be using them to add flavors and colors to your homemade ice cream.

This recipe does not require an ice cream machine, but you will need a hand or stand mixer to whip the cream. It is easy and fun to make and only requires 3 ingredients–whipping cream, condensed milk, and a Kool-Aid packet in your preferred flavor. It’s delicious, refreshing, and perfectly sweet.

Easy Kool Aid Ice Cream Ingredients

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 Kool Aid packets in different flavors

 

Note: use a big cold metal bowl

How to Make Kool Aid Ice Cream

Step 1:

In a large cold metal bowl, add 2 cups of heavy whipping and whisk with a handheld mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks.

Step 2:

Add 1 can of condensed milk and gently fold in using a spatula.

Step 3:

Divide the mixture into 4 different bowls. Sprinkle one Kool Aid packet per bowl. Mix until well incorporated.

Step 4:

Transfer each mixture into individual freezer-safe containers or in a big container and partition them. Get a sheet of cling wrap and push all the way down to the surface of the ice cream inside the container. Do this in each of the containers. This will prevent freezer burn. Place the lids and seal.

Step 5:

Place the ice cream mixture in the fridge for at least four hours or overnight.

Step 6:

Remove the cling wraps. Scoop, serve, and enjoy!
