Easy to prepare and quick to cook, BBQ green beans blend the fresh, crisp taste of green beans with the rich, smoky notes of barbecue seasoning, creating a dish that’s both easy to make and irresistibly delicious. Watch the video below to learn the step by step instructions on how to make it.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Next, heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the chopped bacon. Stir and cook until brown, then add the diced onion. Stir and cook until translucent. In the meantime, add the drained green beans to the bottom of the casserole dish. Back to the skillet, turn it off, and drain most of the bacon fat. After this, turn it back to medium heat, then add 1/2 cup ketchup and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Next, stir in 1/4 cup brown sugar and let it simmer for two to three minutes.
Once done, turn the heat off, then transfer the sauce over the green beans. Stir the green beans to combine with the sauce, then place the casserole in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
