To start, cut the bacon into pieces and fry them. Set them aside. Next, to the bacon grease, add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp dry mustard, and 1 cup of brown sugar. Mix, then add the onion rings. Caramelize the onions over medium-high heat for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, drain the beans. Once done, add the beans to a large mixing bowl along with the cooked bacon and a can of baked beans. Mix everything until well combined.
Once the onions are done, add them to the bean mixture and stir to combine. Then, transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Place it in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for one hour. Serve and enjoy!
