Dough

Step 1
Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl until well combined, then mix in the sugar and yeast, and add in the melted butter. Gradually pour in the milk while mixing continuously until a soft dough forms, then knead in the bowl until smooth ball, and then transfer it to a lightly floured counter. Make about 4 to 5 folds, then knead until smooth, and roll it onto a 9½ x 14½ inches rectangle.
Step 2
Wrap the dough with plastic, then place it in the refrigerator, and let it chill for about 45 to 60 minutes. Place a small saucepan on a stove over low-medium heat, then add the blueberries, sugar, and cornstarch, and bring them to a boil while stirring and mashing consistently. Keep cooking them for a few more minutes until thick paste consistency, then turn off the heat, and remove the saucepan from the stove.
Step 3
Mash the mixture with a stick blender until smooth, then transfer it to a bowl, and cover it with plastic before placing it in the refrigerator to cool. Place the chilled dough on a floured counter, then roll it into a 9½ x 19½ inches rectangle, and sprinkle more flour to remove stickiness. Spread the filling over the top, then fold it into 3 lengthwise, then turn the dough, and gently roll into a 7½ x 14½ inches rectangle.
Step 4
Cut it into 14 strips, then twist every strip and swirl into a knot as demonstrated in the video, and then cover them with plastic. Let them rise in a warm area for about 30 to 60 minutes, then brush them with egg at the top, and sprinkle some pearl sugar. Place them in an oven preheated at 350°F, then let them bake for about 13 to 15 minutes or until golden, and then allow them to slightly cool down. Serve and enjoy!
