  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 – 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

Step 1

To start, remove the stalk, then the core of the cabbage, and begin to chop the leaves into smaller pieces. Once done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl with salted water. Soak them for a while, then drain when ready to cook. In the meantime, prepare the other ingredients. Slice two strips of bacon into bite-size pieces, chop the onion into long pieces, and dice 1/4 red and green bell pepper. Set them aside.
