There are tons of bread recipes that don’t require an oven, just like this no-knead air fryer crusty bread recipe by Simple Recipes Kitchen. It’s great for soups, spreads, cured meats, and cheeses. Most people call this ciabatta bread – fluffy and airy with a crunchy crust. To make this recipe, you only need 5 simple ingredients. It doesn’t require any kneading at all, so it’s definitely easy to make.

In a large bowl, add 1 cup of lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast, 1 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil, 2 cups of all-purpose flour, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix everything with a spatula until it forms into a dough. Cover it with cling wrap and set aside for an hour until it doubles in size.
Dip your fingers in the water. Stretch and fold the dough on all sides. Cover again and set aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, stretch and fold again. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes. Stretch and fold again for the third time and proof for 30 minutes.
Place the dough on a floured surface and sprinkle with flour. Gently stretch the dough and divide into 2. Sprinkle more flour on top.
Place a parchment paper on the basket of your air fryer, and place the 2 pieces of dough if your basket is large enough and place a parchment paper in the middle. Do not start the air fryer first, cover it with cling wrap and proof it for 30 minutes one last time.
Remove the cling wrap and air fry at 400F for 25 minutes. After that, flip them and air fry at 400F for another 15 minutes. Let them cool and serve with butter if preferred.
