This easy and light lemon mousse recipe by Oumiyedolalgeroise16 is the perfect treat this summer! It’s lemony, creamy, and just heavenly. In a small pot, add 5 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons of water, and 2 drops of yellow food coloring. Mix everything with a whisk until well combined.
Place the pot over low heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens. Once done, turn off the heat, transfer the mixture to a bowl, and cover it with a cling wrap. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Add one cup of heavy cream and two tablespoons of powdered sugar in a large bowl. Whisk until well combined and fluffy. Take two tablespoons of the mixture and place it on a piping bag for the topping later.
Add the lemon mixture to the whipped cream and whisk until well incorporated. Transfer the mixture into a different piping bag.
Get a dessert glass and squeeze the lemon cream mixture from the piping bag in a circular motion. Top it with the reserved whipped cream from earlier and add a lemon slice. Repeat with other glasses. Serve immediately and enjoy!
