Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of milk, divided
  • 3 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • dark chocolate biscuits

Chocolate glaze:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

Step 1

To start, add 1/2  cup milk to a bowl followed by 3 tbsp custard powder, and 1 tbsp all-purpose flour. Mix everything until combined, then set it aside. Next, to a saucepan over medium-low heat, add 4 1/2 cups of milk and the custard mixture; whisking it immediately so there are no lumps formed. After this, add 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla essence. Whisk everything well. Once the sugar fully dissolves, increase the heat to medium-high, whisking the custard continuously, to let it thicken (about ten minutes). After the custard thickens, add 2 tbsp butter and continue to whisk for a couple more minutes.

Now, start assembling the pudding. Add two layers of dark chocolate biscuits to the bottom of your container, then spoon a bit of the custard mixture over, spreading it evenly. Next, add another layer of dark chocolate biscuits followed by another layer of custard mixture. Top everything off with some melted dark chocolate mixed with 2 tbsp butter. Put it in the refrigerator and let it set for five hours or overnight.
