Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe orange
  • ½ lemon
  • 300ml or 1¼ cups of alcohol, 96%
  • 120 grams or ½ cup of sugar
  • 350ml or 1½ cups of water

Directions:

Step 1

Thinly peel off the skin of the orange and lemon as shown in the video, then add them to a large mason jar with an airtight lid along with the alcohol (if you want to use vodka, gin, or rum, then add 600ml or 2½ cups), close the lid of the jar, and leave it for about 5 days.

Step 2

After 5 days, prepare the syrup, simply add the sugar and water to a saucepan over low heat, then warm it up while stirring continuously until the sugar has dissolved, and turn off the heat.

Step 3

Let the syrup cool down for at least 2 hours, then once cool, strain the citrus alcohol over the syrup, and stir them well until combined. Taste and adjust the flavor by adding more water or sugar, then transfer them into jars or bottles and seal them. Drink and enjoy!
