I’ve always been fond of cute shapes and patterns in quilts, and this adorable quilt block idea by Jordan Fabrics on YouTube is one of my most recent favorite projects to make! What I love about this block is the fact that it is super easy and simple to put together, but what stood out to me the most is how neat and pleasing to the eyes the final result looks. This is something that I will definitely try making again in the future.
Step 1
Pick the fabrics that you want to use, then iron them if need, and start cutting them to size. Cut the templates, then tape them onto a plastic ruler, and use them to cut the background square and print fabric strips to the right size and shape. Lay them out into a block that resembles a boat as shown in the video, then start stitching them together piece by piece, make sure to lay them together with their right sides facing before sewing them, and then trim off the excess.

Step 2
Press them open and flat, then stitch the pieces together into a block, and proceed to make more blocks. Lay them out into rows, then sew the rows together, and sew them to each other making sure to add the sashing in between each. Give them a good press, then add the borders, backing, and binding fabric, and then quilt it however you want.
