Who doesn’t love the layers of puff pastry and its unique texture? It’s my favorite treat, and I partner it with butter or fruit jam. While browsing Youtube the other day, I found this fantastic recipe from Bincy Chris. As a big fan of puff pastry, I tried it immediately and didn’t regret it. It’s easily one of my favorite puff pastry recipes and so easy to do! Watch the video below to learn the step by step instructions.
Add 2 cups of loosely packed all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp baking powder in a large mixing bowl. Mix well, then add the chopped chilled butter. Toss the butter in flour with your hands, making sure the small pieces are evenly distributed throughout the flour. After this, add 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp milk in small batches while combining with a fork. (The consistency should be more dry and crumbly than doughy.) Transfer the mixture to your working surface and squish and pat it to form a rough square shape.

Cut it into four equal parts, then stack them. Next, squish and pat it again to form a square, then cut it into four equal pieces, then stack them to build layers. Now, shape it again into a rough square, then use a 2.2″ cookie cutter to cut circle shapes. Place these in a baking dish. Squish and stack the remaining dough so you can cut more puff pastry. Once done, place the baking dish in the freezer for five to ten minutes, then brush some egg wash on each top before placing it in the oven (optional). Bake at a preheated 425 degrees F oven for 16 to 18 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.
