Cleaning your TV screen might sound simple and easy, but you might actually be destroying your appliance slowly without even realizing it, and it’s because you’re using the wrong method and solution. When it comes to cleaning your TV screens make sure to not use paper towel or tissue because they are wood based and their fibers can scratch the screen which something that you can’t reverse or undo. It’s also very important to remember not to use any homemade or store-bought household cleaners that are not meant to for gadgets because they often contain alcohol or ammonia. These chemicals can dry out the screen and overtime this will cause the screen to have scratches and eventually crack. Here’s Clean With Confidence on YouTube to show you how its’s done!
Cleaning Level 1
If your screen doesn’t have any fingerprints or other stains, then it will only need dusting, and it will be all good in no time. All you have to do is to grab a clean microfiber cloth, then wipe the screen clean working your way from the top and all the way down until all dust particles are gone.

Cleaning Level 2
If your screen doesn’t only have fingerprints but also other stain that won’t go away with just wiping and dusting, then you might need to dampen a clean microfiber cloth with distilled water, and wipe the stain clean with a circular motion making sure to not press too hard because you’ll distort the pixels. Also remember to not use tap water because they tend to leave residue.
Cleaning Level 3
If the stain is really bad and both cleaning methods mentioned above doesn’t work, then you need to buy an electronic cleaner (Windex was used in the video tutorial), spray it on the cloth making sure to do it away from the screen, and use the cloth to wipe the screen clean. Repeat the application of the solution the cloth and wipe as needed.
