Take your rectangle denim scrap and place it right side down. Put one fusible interfacing on top and press with an iron.
Take your rectangle lining and place it right side down. Put the other fusible interfacing on top of it and press with an iron.
Make this pattern on cardboard or paper.
Place the pattern on top of the rectangle jean and trace it. Once done, cut it out. Do the same on the lining.
Take the jean cutout and fold it in half lengthwise. Mark the middle. From that point, measure 1″ and mark it. Put and sew the label on that mark.
Fold the jean cutout in half crosswise, right sides together, and secure the sides with pins. Sew these sides with a 3/8″ seam allowance. Do the same for the lining cut out.
Finger press the seams open. Close the two bottom corners to make box edges. Secure them with pins and sew with a 3/8″ seam allowance. Repeat on the lining cut out.
Flip the denim box right side out, then place it inside the lining box. Secure the edges with pins. Mark a 3″ opening. Sew around the edges with a 3/8″ seam allowance, except for the opening.
Flip it right side out through the opening. Press the edges with an iron to flatten them. Top stitch the edges with a 3/8″ seam allowance.
