After a tiring and busy day, it’s always nice to have a delicious meal served to lift your spirit. However, there are times when you just don’t feel like cooking because you don’t have the energy to do so. In such a state, it might also become difficult to decide on what to prepare, that’s why my go-to recipes are always quick, easy, and loaded. Just like this skillet meal by The Slow Roasted Italian on YouTube, this not only looks good but also tastes incredibly yummy, too!
Drop Biscuits
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, cheese, baking powder, sugar, and salt, then mix them together until well combined and uniform, and then stir in the milk until it comes together before setting it aside for later. Place a large oven-safe skillet pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the sausage, and break it apart cooking it until lightly browned. Remove the browned sausage using a slotted spoon and into a bowl, then set it aside for later, and then add the butter in the same pan whisking it until melted. Sprinkle some flour over the butter and continue to whisk, then allow it to bubble for about 2 minutes until the flour taste is again, and keep whisking occasionally.

Step 2
Pour the milk, then whisk them together to combine scraping the bits at the bottom at the same time, and then let it cook for about 3 more minutes until it starts bubbling and thickened. Put the sausage back into the pan, then season it with black pepper, and stir together until combined. Remove the pan from the heat, then transfer it to a sheet pan, and scoop tablespoons full of the biscuit batter all over the skillet. Put the pan inside the preheated oven, then let it bake at 450°F for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the biscuits are lightly browned, and once done baking, remove from the oven and sprinkle some fresh parsley all over. Serve and enjoy!
