In a bowl, add the butter and let it sit until soft. Once softened, add the minced garlic and chopped green chili. Mix until well incorporated.
Scoop the butter mixture into one side of the bread and spread evenly. Repeat on the other side. Do the same on the remaining slices.
Add the mozzarella cheese to the buttered bread slices. Make sure that they are covered evenly with cheese, then sprinkle chili flakes on top. Adjust the amount based on your liking.
Place the bread slices on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Put it inside the preheated oven at 392 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for about 5 minutes or until crispy and a little bit golden brown on the edges.
If you prefer to make your toast on a stove, place a pan over low heat and add one or two slices of bread (depending on the size of your pan). Cover it with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Remove from the oven or pan when done toasting. Slice in half diagonally and serve immediately. Enjoy!
